If you expect a miracle, you will get a miracle. But if you come with the mind that it doesn’t make a difference, “Let Him prove it to me” and if you say, “I don’t care if I get healed or not,” you won’t get anything from God. But once you make up your mind and you cross a certain line of no return with God in believing Him, that is when the miracle takes place. There is a point where you are neither in nor out and it is hard for the Lord to reach in there and do anything for you. But there is a point or degree where finally you begin to believe—you reach a point of no return in your belief—then a miracle takes place. When you are alone and you are praying and believing God, once you reach a certain point in your prayer, then things begin to happen in your life. Sometimes, it may seem easier than other times. Sometimes, there is a front that is pushing against you the harder you fight—don’t expect that thing to just break like that—keep believing, God is with you. All you have to do is to begin to praise the Lord; you will see the atmosphere change and the power of the Lord will be with you there. But you’ve got to be sincere and mean business with the Lord. He looks upon the heart, inside the heart.
1. Now, I am going to start a foundation for this message. “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent….hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world” (1 Corinthians 1: 18)? To some people, it is foolishness to teach about the cross, how Jesus came and died. Man has a high level of wisdom for inventions, but his morals have not kept pace. In fact, the more that he is inventing and discovering, it seems that the worse the decay that is coming upon the world. Sure; I believe that that there is a powerful move of God and there will be a powerful move of God as the age begins to close out. However, outside of that whirlwind of the Lord, the world is kind of lukewarm and decaying.
2. So, with the wisdom of man and the inventions, it seems like the more time they have, the lazier they get thereby promoting the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah—there is a lot of leisure time with nothing to do. Today, man and his invention: what did he do? He has invented something that can wipe out everybody on earth. It’s like a sword hanging over all nations, the atomic hydrogen bomb and the neutron bomb that they have invented in the wisdom of man. God created the molecules and the electrons for good in the great creation, but man has perverted what God has created (for good) into the use of destruction. If men would use these weapons for defense, they would be no better than a sword, but the way that men are arming today, they are preparing for battles and wars, and the Battle of Armageddon will take place.
3. With his inventions, man had the power to destroy the earth. But the bible says that man will not destroy the entire earth. Although, he will destroy part of it, the Lord will step in. Much destruction will come from the Lord Himself (Revelation 16). He will interrupt them in Armageddon. He will be on the side of the Hebrews at that time, the faithful ones. When the Lord intervenes, man’s wisdom will come to a null. He will not allow them to destroy the whole earth. There will be some people left for the great millennium. He will intervene or else there will be no flesh saved. Man’s wisdom seems to have gone astray on him; it has gone out of hand. Now, he has power in such a large scale like we have never seen before in the history of the world. But the Lord calls it foolishness.
4. The Lord brought the proper wisdom. He came in divine inspiration through His prophets. This whole earth will pass away but the word of God will not pass away. It is eternal. No one can remove it. They may destroy the bible at the end of the age in the time of the antichrist, but the word of God will meet us all in heaven. The very promises that are in the bible are infallible and they are for you. Let no devil or anybody else tell you that they are not. The eternal promises of God are infallible to those that believe Him. You can have whatsoever you say. Ask and ye shall receive. “If you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14: 14) according to the will of God and that takes faith. So we see here, by their wisdom, they know not God.
5. Although, they came into the world by God’s wisdom, they will not receive God’s wisdom. It pleased God through the “foolishness” of the gospel to save those that believe. He could have used another means, but he saw that by what he had created, that was the best way because it would look completely foolish to those that will not come to Him. He has done that to show that the wisdom of this world is destruction, but the wisdom of God is eternal life. Man creates death, rides on the pale horse—death is written on that horse—and it rides though the world at the end (Revelation 6: 8, 12). But written across God, the One that is coming from heaven is the Word of God and He is life (Revelation 19: 13). One has life; one ends up with death. I am going to stay with the One that has life written all over Him.
6. “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty” (1 Corinthians 1: 27). He has ways of doing things that are beyond anybody’s conception—satan, demons or anybody. The Lord has a way that people, sometimes, do not understand at all. In fact, they think that they have a better way. It is human nature and that is why we are in all these problems today. There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is death, saith the Lord. With man and his better ways, we have wound up with the problems of wars and the problems of sin. Look at what happened in the garden (Eden); Eve thought she had a better way. It won’t work; you have to stay with what God has uttered in His word. When you do that; that is His way. All other ways won’t work. Jesus is the way.
7. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 214). What man counts as wisdom, God counts it as naught. If you want to take on the wisdom of God, believe in His word and the power of His salvation. Then you will begin to understand the words that are in the bible. The bible says it this way; the law/wisdom of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul (Psalm 19: 7) to those that believe.
8. “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3: 3). “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3: 23). See; you need a savior. Some people say, “I am not that kind of a sinner. I am righteous, you see.” They say, “I am going to make it in. I have never hurt anybody.” That is an old lie of satan. As far as satan is concerned, he has never done anything to anybody and yet he is guilty. Unless you have got the Lord Jesus Christ, there is no other way to get in there. You are a thief and a robber if you try to get in any other way. Salvation is only in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe that. “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not (Ecclesiastes 7: 20). That was before grace was poured out. As far as Solomon could see, all those that said that they were doing right, Solomon said that there was no man that doeth good. That was in his own era of time. I will say this, without salvation and the Lord helping us, I guarantee you there wouldn’t be any good upon the earth.
9. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags… (Isaiah 64: 6). You’ve got to get that word and faith in your heart and you’ve got to believe Him. “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53: 6). This, as a whole, speaks of a nation drifting away from God. You must hold to the word of God. In the age that we are living in, it looks like people want this kind of religion that is self-righteous; they are getting further away from the precepts of the word of God. The bible predicted that people will fall away from the word of God as the age closes out. The bible shows the things that we are seeing today; they have part-truth and part-dogma. Man is tangled up in all that and they will all perish unless they have the word of God; even those that have salvation and do not go further. Many will go through the great tribulation. They must have the word of the Lord and great power in order to escape the great tribulation.
10. There is a certain point that man reaches and if he goes no further, there is no way of escape. He must go to where the Lord says and when he does, he is saved. You can’t save yourself, that is an impossibility. Listen to this: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3: 5)—predestination steps in here too. If you want to know the elective seed of God—there is a true vine and a false vine—if you want to know the true seed of God, who the elect are and if you want to get a mirror of yourself; they will believe this message that I am preaching tonight. They will believe the bible. They won’t back down one bit. That’s your elect. Jesus said, “…If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed” (John 8: 31). The elect of God will believe this word. They will believe His prophets. They will believe the truth. It is in them to believe the truth by providence. The others cannot believe. The elect will believe the true word of the Living God. Put that test to yourself. See if you can be tested by the word.
11. There are some foolish virgins out there. They believe to a point, but when it comes to where the baptism starts and it breaks forth into the gifts and the fruits of the Spirit, then they start breaking away. As long as they are healthy, they don’t want to believe the whole word of the Lord. It looks too heavy and too radical for them. I tell you; they need to swallow the whole word of God, for you do not know when you are going to need it. The gospel is a great medicine. The Lord is the greatest physician in the whole world. You see, you cannot crawl on your belly and try to do penance as pagans do; not by works of righteousness but by His mercy He saved us. Salvation is the gift of God. Therefore, it is up to you and your Creator. You don’t even have to be with anybody. You can get it by being by yourself with the word of God. You know it can’t be bought and you can’t earn it; but you can say, “It is mine, I am saved and I have gotten it by word of the Lord. I can confess that in my heart and with my mouth. I have got Him!” You’ve got Him. That is faith.
12. You don’t walk by sight, you walk by faith, the bible says. Faith means that you can rely on what the word of God says. When you put your faith in the promises of God and hold to them, you can’t be shaken. So, when it steps into believing the real word of God, that’s where the separation comes. There is the wheel within a wheel of the gospel and as it gets stronger, a few more people fall by the wayside. Each time the word of God gets stronger, a few more fall off. Yes, they’ve got a nice name on their building, but the Lord says, “I will spew them out of my mouth.” Remember; any building in the world including this one here, the name of it means nothing. You can have a good name, but there is only one way you can be saved in the body of Jesus Christ and that is to join the body of Jesus Christ by the Lord Jesus Christ and admit that He is the Savior of the world and the Lord of your life. That is when you are in the body of Jesus Christ. Then find somewhere and worship the Lord. That’s what the Lord wants.
13. Man has captured it (faith), dogmatized it and put it in different ways. It looks like it works pretty good, but it is always the same thing at the end of it; it is dried out, the power of unbelief creeps in, people fall sick and everything goes wrong. You have to stay with the word and the power of the Lord. I am telling you something good tonight. You will be positive and powerful, but if you begin to get anything else (outside the word), the negative will start to set in and this will bring diseases, mental worries and catastrophes to your body. Stay positive in your heart. What do you care what somebody says? You know what the bible says. You know that God is not a liar. He has told the truth. The Holy Spirit tells you the truth. He cannot lie; men can, but not Him, He is the Spirit of truth. But satan abides not in the truth from the beginning. He will tell you, “Well, don’t believe that.” That’s satan; he never did have the truth, but God has always had the truth. Amen. I try to walk by this truth just as He has shown me. There is deliverance in it. I have seen thousands of people delivered here and overseas simply because I stayed in the word of God and the power of the Spirit that he has given me.
14. We need all the gospel that we can get. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14: 12). Men come up with pretty good ideas about how to get there. Each religious cult says they’ve got the right way. But there is only one way and it is God’s way. If you come by the word of Jesus Christ, you are going to make it in there alright. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14: 6). See; there is no other way. Somebody says, “I believe in God, I will get in that way.” No, you can’t. You have to come through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He said no man can come to the Father, but by me. In other words, back through the Holy Spirit. Through all of this, His own self bare our sins and by His stripes, ye were healed (1 Peter 2: 24).
15. Jesus will enable you to overcome any kind of temptation. He said, “If you think you can’t, just hold on to me; you will make it.” We saw that some of the disciples almost slipped. We saw different things happening in the bible and the situations in which He helped them. He will do the same thing for you. Listen to this: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able: but will with the temptation make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10: 13). He will make a way. He will do it for you too. There is no other god known to man that can do that for you. The Lord will be right there. He will see you through no matter what it is in this world. He will stand right with you.
16. “He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107: 20). Isn’t that wonderful? “…and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee” (Exodus 23: 25). That’s right. In the New Testament, there are many miracles and the Lord said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe….they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16: 17 & 18). You can’t get away from the word of the Lord. “…I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15: 26). “And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon them that hate thee” (Deuteronomy 7: 15). This is a scripture to the Hebrews, but it covers the Gentiles in the New Testament because Jesus came and through the atonement we have all that. The word of God is true.
17. In all of this, we discover a healing truth. It is actually a healing law. It is faith and belief. Each man has a measure of faith. If you don’t exercise it, it will go dormant on you. You keep exercising that faith and believing God, it will grow stronger and stronger. But we discover a healing truth, by your faith, you can trigger a healing process. By your faith in Christ, you can trigger a salvation process. The Holy Spirit is just like a light right there. He is watching over everything. Within you is the power and the kingdom of God is within you, the bible said. There is a power within you. You can unleash that power and blow satan right back out of the way, and become an energizer for God. It’s within you to do that. That much power, that much faith was in the prophets of old and we have seen them use that power and trigger enormous exploits from God. They’ve got so many exploits in the Old Testament that at one time the sun stopped, the moon stopped (Joshua 10: 12 & 13) and there were two days in which the sun did not go down for one day. We have also seen in the bible how water just split, the whole huge sea just split and they walked right through it. That was triggered by the power of faith and it is in each individual. It is according to how you exercise that faith in business-like seriousness that God does these things for you.
18. He certainly will do them. Jesus said this and confirmed it more than once when He said, “Be it to you according to thy faith.” Again, He said, “Whether is, easier to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk” (Luke 5: 23). The man just rose up and walked. Can you say, praise the Lord? To another fellow He said, “Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole” (Mark 10: 52). So we see, the bible is a wonderful book and the word of God is like medicine. This sermon tonight is alike an anointing. If you take the word of God and read it three times, it will be just like medicine to your body. There will be life in it, there will be power in it and there will anointing in it. You know, when people go to the doctor today, they take whatever medicine the doctor gives them two or three times a day to help them. I’ll say this right here, if you would just take the word of God three times a day and believe it, He is the greatest doctor and the word of God is the greatest medicine you can ever get in your life.
19. God’s word is actually medicine to your flesh; that’s exactly right. That is why satan keeps people from hearing it or be around it because the word of God is life and it creates faith. “My son, attend to my words….Let them not depart from thine eyes….For they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4: 20 – 22). I believe that. How many believe that? I believe that God is the one that answers prayer and he answers it by faith. Remember; built inside of you is enormous power, more powerful than anything you have ever seen. But with the flesh working against you in negative feelings and with the satanic powers working against the promises of God, some people just get on the wayside. But this word and the anointing preached here tonight is health to your body and your flesh. It is life to those that take it into the midst of their hearts.
20. So tonight, you cannot save yourself. God has already saved you. You cannot heal yourself. God has already healed you. You’ve got to believe that and the process takes place immediately. He doesn’t die each time somebody gets saved. That’s already done and He rose from the grave. His back is not beaten each time somebody gets healed; that’s already occurred. So it is finished and that process is working within you by the power of faith as the Holy Spirit begins to move. Oh! He is all over me now. He is all over you in the audience. He is just wonderful.
PRAYER FOR THE SICK AND TESTIMONIES FOLLOWED

Lord, I pray in my heart, touch the people tonight. It’s because of the prayers and the efforts of the people of the Old Testament, that’s what makes it easy on the United States. That’s prophecy. Glory, Alleluia! That seed reached in clear over here, according to the bible—the prayers of the prophets, the prayer of the Lord Jesus—that’s why such a great nation has come; that’s why such a great people that love God came upon the earth. But they are beginning to turn; the nations are turning their back on God. It is now that the real people of God need to get a firm grip and stay in because it is the hour of the coming of the Lord and He shall come soon. Bless them here tonight, Lord. Whatever their needs are, I believe you are going to meet their needs. Can’t you feel the power of God? Just relax, can you relax? The Holy Spirit is a great relaxer. He will take away the oppression, even possession, if you have it. He will heal and He will cure. Let your anxiety and tension go and the Lord will bless you.

1. Tonight, Step by Step into Heaven: How far do you want to go up the spiritual ladder tonight or in the days ahead? It’s a kind of sermon that reveals things to you. It shows our journey in this life. The dream/vision that came to Jacob reveals many things. In the great pyramid that is in Egypt—this is symbolism—in the pyramid, there are seven overlapping steps that lead to the veil. They represent the church ages and so forth. The sermon tonight is about Jacob’s ladder.

2. Turn to Genesis 28: 10-17:

a. “And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. And he lighted upon a certain place and tarried there all night…and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and he lay down to sleep” (vs. 10-11). The scripture says “stones”, but when it gets through, it says “stone” (vs. 18 & 22). He took the stones for his pillows. Yes, he was tough, wasn’t he? He was a prince with God and became a very wealthy man, too. He was great prince with the Lord. The Lord got some of that conniving out of him. But he was tough. He just got stones together and he was going to lay his head on them as a pillow. He was going to lie down there in the open. We have it too easy today, don’t we? Maybe it’s showing us that sometimes when you rough it out a bit, the Lord will appear to you. Well, He revealed to Jacob the steps of his life. Finally, the steps of his seed, the elect that will come. The Lord is showing us something here.

b. “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder was set up on earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it” (v.12). Note that the ladder was not from heaven to earth. It was set up from earth to heaven. That is the word of God. There are messengers coming back and forth. Through the word of God, we either reject his ladder or we are going to go up this ladder. Can you say, Amen? Praise the Lord. I might also say that the stone (s) he collected was the very Headstone. Oh, Christ was with him. He laid right down on Him. This is one time Jacob got as close as John—remember he (John) lay on the Lord’s bosom (John 13: 23). The ladder with angels ascending and descending was glorious as you look upon the spiritual scene.

c. “And, behold, the Lord stood above it and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac, the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed” (v. 13). It wasn’t just angels going up and down the ladder, the scripture says, “Behold, the Lord stood above it. “ Also, He told Jacob, “Where you are lying down, I am going to give it to you.”

d. “And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth…and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed” (v. 14). That covers everything, doesn’t it? The spiritual seed as well; not only the Jewish lineage, but also the gentiles—the bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, the elect of God, and many of the compartments of the wheel within the wheel of the church. “And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed”—that is A-L-L. How wonderful it is? Such a great power. See; it shows you the faith blessings to all the families of the earth. By faith, we have got the God of Jacob when we got the Messiah. Isn’t that wonderful? He never changes. Glory, Alleluia!

e. “And, behold, I am with thee and will keep thee in all the places thou goest, and will bring thee again to this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of” (v. 15). Jacob went over there, met Laban and he came back just as the Lord has said. He laid down his head on that stone with the angels going back and forth and with the Lord standing above the ladder. He came right back and wrestled with the Person that put the ladder there until He blessed him. Can you say, Amen? Going out, he saw a ladder and coming back he wrestled with the Person that put the ladder there. “I will not leave thee.” God will never leave you. You can walk out on Him, but He will never leave you. He is right there, “until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.”

f. “And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not” (v. 16). It’s like in this city (Phoenix, AZ), Capstone Cathedral, the Lord is in this place and they know it not. How many of you caught that? When He does something great, He will put it right in front of the people for a sign and they will miss it every time. He is a great God.

g. “And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! This is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate to heaven” (v. 17). He respected the Lord so much; it was frightening. He said this is none other but the house of God. He didn’t understand all about what he had seen, but he knew it was supernatural. For all of his life, he thought about the things that God had shown him. He couldn’t figure it out; it was a struggle, step by step that seed would come—the Israelites. Look at them over there (in their homeland) today, step by step until Armageddon—until it’s all over. The Lord said so, “Until it is all over with, I will be with that seed. Isn’t that wonderful?

3. The ladder going from earth to heaven—it shows you each step is providential going into heaven (Proverbs 4: 12). It shows the messengers going back and forth, the angels bringing messages to the people; the ladder is the word of God going back and forth from God—“It shows your way shall be opened up to you step by step in my ladder.” How wonderful it is! And in your life, sometimes, you get in a hurry; sometimes, you wonder how this thing that you have been asking for, you have not received it yet. Sometimes, it is faith. However, some things are providential and predestined; none can move them, they are destiny. If you hold on to the word like Jacob, believe me, the Lord will meet your need and He will direct you step by step. But you’ve got to let Him guide the first, second and third step before you can jump into the seventh or eighth step. .

4. Step by step, if you understand that in your life—no matter what step you are in your life right now. There are many steps; a few of them you must have missed and God guided you back. You got off step. You got off the trail. He guided you right back in step into unity. What you want to do is this: In your heart and mind, like Jacob, picture yourself being with that Headstone. You see, he laid his head on the Headstone, the very Christ—the Pillar of Fire. Moses looked over and saw a burning bush. Can you praise the Lord?

5. Step by step, you get in tune with the Lord and say, “I want you to order my life, step by step, no matter how long. I will not be impatient, but I will be patient with you. I will wait until you guide my life step by step through the trials, through the tests, through the joy, mountains and valleys. I will take it step by step with you with all my heart.” You will win; you can’t lose. But if you get your mind on other people, the failures of other people and some of your own failures; if you start looking at things from that standpoint, you are going to get out of step again. He said He will never leave you or forsake you until He has done “whatever in this life He has purposed and predestinated by providence for you. Until it is all over with, He will be with you.” Then, of course, you go into a spiritual plane, into another place—we know that.

6. And so, step by step, the way will be opened up before you. And Jacob said God is in this place. You know, Jacob was probably thinking about what he would do when he got to where he was going. You know Jacob was very materialistic in his mind. He was thinking about all these things he was going to do. He was thinking about everything but God. Finally, he was so tired; he had his mind on so many things. He left one place, he was going to another. He was probably thinking, “Why did this happen to me?” God’s hand was upon him. He had so many things on his mind—running from his brother and going to Laban. Suddenly, when that happened to him—the heavens opened up—the angels going back and forth; he saw all these things moving. The Lord was trying to make him to understand, “Jacob, there is action; we don’t just sit around the place, we move up and down.” Glory! “I am working with you right now. I am planning your whole life. You think nothing is happening. I have got a lot ahead for you. Your boy is going to rule Egypt.” Oh, Lord, thank you! The boy has not even come yet. “All your life, I am planning it—clear to the end when you stand before Pharaoh and to the last day when you lean upon your staff and bless the twelve tribes.” Glory! Isn’t that wonderful? Glory to God!

7. And so, Jacob got up and said, “Oh me, I didn’t know that God was a million miles from this place and I fell down on this rock. This must be where he lives.” We found out that God followed him everywhere he went. He didn’t have to come back to that place (to find God). But He scared him. He was afraid because the last thing on his mind was to come into where God lived. Can you say, Amen? The Lord is full of surprises. It says in the bible, be careful less you entertain angels unawares. That’s what happened to him. Angels appeared to Abraham—the Lord and two angels. Jacob was lying down here and angels came unexpectedly. Be careful, you entertain angels unawares. Jacob’s whole life was planned. God was active. Those angels were going up and down through there and they help the children of God in the same way.

8. Our lives are step by step on the ladder of life and that ladder is taking us on to heaven. “And I will provide a way; providentially, step by step will I lead thee and guide thee.” Jacob said he was afraid. He said this is the house of God and this is the gate of heaven. “And Jacob rose up…and took the stone that he has put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it” (v. 18). One time, the three disciples were with the Lord and His face was changed; His face was altered like lightning—the very Headstone, the Capstone, the Lord Jesus Christ. His face was altered like lightning and He stood before them in a cloud with a voice and great power. And the disciples said, this is the place of God here. Let’s build a temple here. You see what happens to them; they get so caught away in that dimension. It’s so wonderful and so powerful that they always get beside themselves. “He took the stone…” It says here the stone that he took and put for his pillows—he set up a pillar and poured oil upon it, like he was anointing something. As far as we know, the Lord comforted him and made it look like a stone but it might have been symbolic and typifying the Pillar of heaven because it is called the Pillar of Fire. The Pillar of Fire drew him into dreams and visions. He poured oil upon it like an anointing. He called the name of the place Bethel (v. 19). Jacob vowed that he would do what the Lord said and he asked the Lord to help him in everything that he would do. Then, Jacob went on about his life (v. 20).

9. Tonight, how far up the ladder do you want to go? How many really want to get to heaven? Does it mean much to you as it meant to Jacob? If you really believe Him in your heart tonight, you can take a new step with God. Believe me, those messengers going back and forth are your messengers. These are the messengers of God, particularly used in the visionary dream. They were used as messengers and they came from the Mount of God—back and forth—to help the seed that He said will be all the families of the earth, like the dust of the earth. These same messengers are coming to us up and down from heaven and they are delivering His people. I believe tonight that you have messengers with you and that God will encamp around those that have faith. There is great power in this place, this very Capstone and they know it not. You shall have whatsoever you say, if you have power to believe it. Amen. There is deliverance in the power of the Lord.

10. Jacob felt like praising the Lord and the bible said it this way in Psalm 40: 3, “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God…” Jacob had a new song in his heart, didn’t he? How wonderful it is! And then, Psalm 13:6, “I will sing unto the Lord because he has dealt bountifully with me.” He will be with you tonight. How would He do it? By praising the Lord, He will give you a miracle. “Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion; declare among the people his doings” (Psalm 9: 11). Here, it tells you to shout the victory, tell the people of His wonderful things and He will deal with you in a wonderful way. You have to cause/create an atmosphere of power. Believe me, for a moment when he (Jacob) poured oil on that stone, there was an atmosphere in that place. Amen.

11. “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord….come before his presence with singing” (Psalm 100: 1 & 2). When you come, you come into His presence with joy and you come into His presence with singing. All over the bible, it tells you how you can receive in the church the things that God has. Sometimes, people come and they are angry with someone or they come here and something is wrong. How do you ever expect to get something from the Lord? If you come with the right attitude to God, you can’t fail to get a blessing each time you come to church. “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving” (Psalm 69: 30). Come singing, come praising the Lord. These are the secrets of God, the power of the Lord and the secrets of the prophets, too. “Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name” (Psalm 18: 49). Do you believe that, tonight? Every one of you, each of you should have a song in your heart. You can have a new song in your heart. The blessings of the Lord are for you. Tonight, we have got our heads laid down on the Headstone—the place of the power of God. He is all around you. Isn’t that wonderful? I feel it; I feel the power of the Lord too.

12. The Lord led me to go this way, Acts 16: 25 & 26; we are headed for an earthquake with all that is going on. Praising the Lord shakes things, Amen. It will quake the devil and drive him off. “And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bands were loosed” (v. 26). You begin to praise the Lord, you begin to thank the Lord always in your heart, no matter what, there will be doors opening. Praise God. He will open the doors and will let you go free. I believe that the last revival that the Lord is going to send is going to come through praising the Lord, through faith and the power of the Lord, but you’ve got to have faith. It is impossible to please the Lord unless you have faith (Hebrews 11: 6). Each one of you is given a measure of faith. You may not be using it; it may be lying there negative, but it is there. It is up to you to allow that faith to grow by expecting in your heart and by giving thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.

13. Believe me that ladder going to heaven; those messengers going back and forth are on a bidding/mission and their job is whatever you ask, you shall receive. Seek and you shall receive. This is a wonderful lesson in the power of God and the doors will open immediately. So, we see that the steps in the ladder revealed in Jacob’s life, in the families of the earth and in all the elect seed on the earth, that the Headstone will indeed be with them—that it is close as laying your head on it—the power of God. Moreover, it revealed that providentially those people chosen by God of the seed to come upon the earth—the Gentiles—and all the families of the earth will be blessed, but they have to receive the salvation through the Messiah—the Root, the creator and the Offspring of David. So, we see the ladder was meant for the seed on the earth. Step by step, He will lead His children and step by step—with His messengers going back and forth—at the end of the age, we will go up and meet God at the top of it. Isn’t that wonderful? How many of you can say, Praise the Lord? We are going to come up this spiritual ladder.

14. Make a spiritual move into the kingdom of God. Promise the Lord in your heart, “Lord, guide me step by step, no matter what the devil tries to do to blow me one way or the other, I am going to set my course right in there and I am going to believe with all my heart.” I believe those messengers are coming back and forth to those that believe the Lord Jesus, the great Headstone. Jacob did not reject Him. He used Him as a pillow and poured oil on Him. That was all representative of the Chief Headstone. The bible said in the New Testament that Jesus Christ was the Main Headstone that was rejected. The Greek called it the Capstone. So, tonight I am receiving the headstone, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Very One that will bless your heart. We are going into a spiritual move and a restoration with the Lord in the next few years or month or whatever time He has, we will go in and have a revival with the Lord. Dreams and visions are very important, aren’t they? And the bible is true; that boy (Joseph) that came through him (Jacob) ruled Egypt and saved the whole world from famine.

15. Somebody that was just out in the wilderness out there and didn’t know it, but the God of Israel was there. He is here tonight, closer to you than you have ever realized. When you lay down on your pillow tonight–I feel this from the Lord– that is how He is close to you and whatever you need. Think of your pillow as Jacob’s pillow. Believe that your pillow is the very Headstone of God with you and over you and He will bless you. Do you believe that? Let’s just praise the Lord. Glory to God! And you new ones, if it is a little too strong for you; I cannot lighten it, it’s going to get stronger. Why play around, just get in. That’s what the Lord Jesus likes about it too. When He Himself came and was working miracles in Israel, He got the job done and that’s what we have to do. If you want to get with God, just get right in. Don’t let pride keep you back. It is yours, it belongs to you, but you can’t get it if you don’t open the door. Just get it there and travel on your way step by step to heaven.
